Need a larger sample from Floyd, White, or Woulard to truely determine who will be successful. We aren't afforded that luxury, so we must evaluate who will give us the best chance. My thought is White will give us the best opportunity game 1, but Woulard has a higher ceiling. Bring them both in to compete and earn the right to be #1.

Data,

Why didn't you defend BJ as much as you are defending Floyd? Floyd is not a starting D1 quality qb.

I defended BJ for three years while people were expecting too much from the kid. I stopped defending him when he got the weapons and stability to succeed and did not. BJ had some pretty horrible starts during his career, as bad or worse than Floyd's starts. There were people on here calling for BJ's head after he only had a few starts, and I thought they were being ridiculous also.

You are seriously going to compare a four year starter and fifth year senior to a freshman with two career starts and expect them to be equal?

BJ was on pace for 3,000 passing yards and lead the team in rushing yards before he went down! How was he not succeeding?

And we should all remember BJ's first year under Holtz and Fitch's system. It was a nightmare! Cuz he didn't fit the scheme. Same is going to go for Floyd and Taggart. The difference is: Coach T already has one of his guys in!

Are you saying that Floyd does not fit Taggart's system? I think that he fits more with Taggart's than with Holtz's.

Haha you guys always say it was his only playing time...You cannot expect him to do well. Well if he was any good he would do well. There are not too many qbs you go from flat out sucking to being good college qb's. Grothe and Daniels showed alot in their first appearances. Your making excuses for him. Flloyd will never be a starting qb at this level. If Eveld or Flloyd is our starting qb next year we have failed.

In BJ Daniels third game he was 6 of 16 for 77 yards and a pick. In game five he was 7 of 17 with two INTs and only 129 yards.

According to your rules you just stated, he should have been kicked off the team because he had proven after five games he would never be any good.'

At least try to be consistent with your argument.

As an aside, I would wager large sums of money that many of the people arguing that Floyd sucks and BJ was great were arguing four years ago that BJ sucked.

LOL I love how you left out the games where he did well. When comparing BJ's first games vs Floyd's (I did a comparison of this already on here somewhere) it's not even CLOSE. BJ >>>>>>>>>>>>> Floyd

Taggart's system involves taking snaps under center... and that pretty much stops Floyd's chances right there. How many fumbles did he have in the cincy game? 6? And he juggled several more. Idk if it's small hands or what, but he is not a trustworthy option.

wasnt BJ first start vs FSU?...He did pretty well. Like I said showed everyone that he had huge potential. Noone is saying he was a great college qb but he was impressive and had the ability to change the game in a few plays. Can you say the same for Flloyd in anything he has showed you. There is no comparison. Thanks for your side of the argument. You can spin anything to make it look good. I call it like I see it. I said Lanaris needed to be benched early and you guys jumped on me. Flloyd is not good.

His third game??? You mean start right????? Cuz his third start was against #8 Cincinnati, and he went 15-32 for 208 1 td and 2 int. His fifth was against WVU he went 13-26 for 232 yards and 3 tds 0 ints and ran for over 100 in a WIN!

You wanna talk about consistency.

I suppose the Miami and Rutgers games never happened. They were a mirage.

People were on this very board talking about how horrible BJ was and how he needed to be benched never to be seen from again.

You are cherry picking and denying reality.

But you are leaving out the games that Daniels did horribly. Your argument is not logical.

We all saw in BJ's first start that he had big play ability and could change the momentum of a game with one play. Floyd hasn't shown that ability or much of anything in his first few starts.
