Considering that endowments almost exclusively go this is actually pretty impressive. If you consider how long we've been around vs. say, UM, we're probably about higher in a per year endowment average. That's assuming Miami is at least twice as old as we are.

Though, Miami Date is pretty close to us (est. 1952) hopefully we overtake them shortly.

#4 is a major surprise.  How did they swing that?

#4 is a major surprise.  How did they swing that?

MDC was considered the #1 community college in the country for years.

They dropped the "community" from their name now that they have 4 year degrees.

But many of their programs are actually still top notch and highly rated/respected.

Its also the LARGEST non-profit college institution in the entire country.

As with any institution, both of these points are money makers.

The college is also closely tied to the city and hosts or participates in several important (national and international known) events which helps bring a lot of money to the school.

Ironically MDC receives the lowest government assistance from any of the Florida colleges.

I would have thought Rollins was #4.

I hope to see us continue to rise in those rankings. The USF brand is becoming very respectable.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
