Hey where's Vega and his pithy comments?!?

Anyhow, sorta close at halftime....down by 7 going in. Was down by 13 but Noriega hit 2 straight 3's.

We kept it tied for half of a half.....14-14 and then things broke down. Pitt's backup big man came off the bench and had 10 points.

It's on ESPN3 if anyone wants to watch.

Did something happen? Espn mobile site has the game stopped at 2.06 for like 15 minutes now. I'm driving and keep refreshing the score

It's that time of year for USF basketball where it's mostly the masochists still hanging in there ...

Things pretty much back to status quo ... Hang around, hang around until we hit that 5 minute dry spell. Doubly frustrating because Pitt was on one, too, until Noriega misses a layup to tie the game and they go on an 8-0 run.

One thing, though, and I know it will probably disappoint some, but the team sure doesn't look to have thrown in the towel ...

I haven't seen a game this year where it looks like we have quit. The closest would be ND, and when you start the game on the wrong side of a 22-0 run, it's kind of hard to recover from that.

It's the one thing I have been very impressed with this year: the perseverance

40-18 advantage on the boards for Pitt. Pitt has won 5 straight and still without their best player in Gibbs.
