"Face" of USF Football ?

I think it's Grothe ... QB's are usually the "Face" of a team and he was at the helm when we started making noise.

it was leavitt for sure

as a player?  grothe would be first choice but i dont think anyone outside program really would answer  grothe or anyone else

usf offense has never been outstanding and usf really hasnt had an all american at any position

Overall face? Probably Leavitt, unless Holtz stays at least 5 years and wins us some titles of some sort.

Face of the team? BJ Daniels. He's the only guy people even really know offhand. Someone else could become the face if they step up in 2011, like if Darrell Scott ends up being the leading weapon.

In the past, I'd say it was probably Grothe. Even with Selvie, Pierre-Paul, Moffit, Jenkins, McKenzie, Grothe was one of the most electric players and if your QB is any good, people always know them.

hopefully we get one soon.  not only will it mean we'd likely have an all-American at a key position, but a 'face' to attract more butts in seats.

The face of the program is Leavitt, Grothe, or simply The Defense.

There's not really anyone currently on the team that's the "face" per se. Holtz is the closest, but he has to prove the desire to stay before he's the "face" of anything.

Here's hoping Daniels, Scott, or Aycock can become that face next year.

I agree with Dan.  Yes, we are essentially a faceless team (save BJ) with our closest candidates being from the past (Matt and JL).

I kind of like the nameless, faceless notion because it's in line with what Skip is doing- filling positions with good (nameless) players and with the new system and positive  

coaching attitude becoming great (recognizable) players.

Here's to the nation learning some of the rooster on September 3rd.
