Combine that with the FSU win last year and the coaching change happening in Miami will this really get us some of those top Miami kids ?

I think the recruiting implications from the turmoil in Miami will adversely effect Miami, but not necessarily bring us "those top Miami kids".  USF beating Miami is a step in the right direction and can only help in our recruiting efforts, but I think the turmoil in Miami and the loss to us will benefit programs like UF, FSU, and the other top tier schools recruiting in Miami more so than us.

Go Bulls!

I dont think itll have a huge impact. We've beat better and higher ranked teams than miami, and we beat fsu last year.

It helped a little, but long term success and championships have much bigger impact on recruiting

Getting to a BCS game and winning would do much bigger things.

Miami could be ripe for beating again next year at ray jay also :)

They'll shine up the trophy case, call themselves "The U", and the kids that bought into that will still buy in.  Top tier recruits from S. FL who were on the fence may go elsewhere, but I don't think USF is the elsewhere they have in mind. As others have said VERY minimal recruiting impact. As we all know it's not about the coach, it's not about the wins, "it's all about the U."  The kids they are recruiting now were 10 or 11 the last time UM won a conference champioship.  The clock is ticking.

It just keeps us in the conversation.  It is not a closer, like BullsonParade said, get to the BCS bowl and win it and then you will be taking major recruits.

I think it will make a difference who Miami gets as their next coach ... if they get someone like Gruden that has coached in The League and recruits think he'll help them get there, then I wouldn't expect much of a dropoff in Miami's recruiting ability.

I think we can recruit more on level with UM right now....but FSU is on a tear right now so we'll be left with their scraps (but there's gonna be some **** good ones left).

unfortunately, I think a BCS bowl would have higher impact on recruiting. We need to get one soon.
