USF beating Miami is a step in the right direction and can only help in our recruiting efforts, but I think the turmoil in Miami and the loss to us will benefit programs like UF, FSU, and the other top tier schools recruiting in Miami more so than us. We've beat better and higher ranked teams than miami, and we beat fsu last year.It helped a little, but long term success and championships have much bigger impact on recruiting

Miami could be ripe for beating again next year at ray jay also

Top tier recruits from S. FL who were on the fence may go elsewhere, but I don't think USF is the elsewhere they have in mind. As others have said VERY minimal recruiting impact. As we all know it's not about the coach, it's not about the wins, "it's all about the U." The kids they are recruiting now were 10 or 11 the last time UM won a conference champioship. The clock is ticking.

It is not a closer, like BullsonParade said, get to the BCS bowl and win it and then you will be taking major recruits.

We need to get one soon.
