This is the second coaching staff that has Plancher playing and a RB by committee.  Is it possible that two sets of coaches know a little more about what they have than those of us that post on bulletin boards?  Naw, that can't be it!

The previous regime also thought that Pat Julmiste was a better option than Matt Grothe. It took an injury to get Grothe in.

For the RB by committee nonsense, this staff doesn't have Mike Ford and Jamar Taylor to pass over like the previous staff did and Murray was hurt coming into the game, and in the 1st half it looked like he tweaked that ankle again.

That's not going to be true no matter how many times you repeat it ...  :D

Pretty sure Grothe was slated to play the whole second half of that game, the injury just got him in the game ahead of schedule.

Also, you may have misread my post.  Both the current and previous regimes have played the RB by committee approach.  There's got to be a reason for it.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
