I'm not against an OCS, I just like the idea of a drastic downgrade, ie. aluminum. If it gets built, its gotta be concrete. At least then you can add on without it lookin' like doo doo (or UCF...)

I never get these fascinations with OCS's?  Every time I go to a road game, I always think how much the place sucks compared to how lucky we are to have such a nice comfortable full of amenities stadium to watch ours games!

Amenities are nice but the atmosphere on campus can't be beat.

College football=Atmosphere, Pro Football=amenities.

+1000000

I'd take atmosphere over amenities....but I know this board is split over that thought.

I would rather stay at rayjay than build a stadium similar to UCF...

I think we get a stadium if one of two things happen:

1. Rayjay becomes old and no longer state of the art

2. An epic event comes to Tampa at the right time IE: tampa holding the olympics...

Neither of which will happen for quite some time...

I'd love a facility like Minnesota's

Ummm... Really?  Then why are places like TCU adding amenities?

http://www.stadium.tcu.edu/

Or Michigan?

Or the University of Washington?

Schools all over the country are renovating their stadiums to add AMENITIES to some historic and tradition-rich stadiums.

Once Ray Jay is no longer a top notch NFL stadium, AND we have some cash (I say sell naming rights to an OCS stadium)  is when you'll see an OCS, and it will be at least 10-15 years. AT LEAST.

EXACTLY!  Most of you are young, but the older BIG $$$$$$ donors want comfort!  Be glad we have what we have.  Plus, when it does get old, The Bucs will demand a new better one.  Guess who else benefits at relatively little cost?  USF!

Plenty of folks have been blasting the Swamp for its lack of amenities...

Adding amenities to stadiums that are old as dirt....not stadiums that have been built in the last decade.

We don't need an NFL caliber stadium on campus, and I don't want a Tin can like UCF. Papa Johns/TCF are PERFECT examples of a blend between the two.
