Guys, can we PLEASE lay off the ZOMG SKIP stuff until we win Saturday? He is not the first coach to ever have this idea.

LOL ... I was kind of thinking the same thing. Amazing?? Coaches going into that kind of environment the first time for a lot of the players do it all the time ... Go 5-2 in the BE and I'll be happy to anoint him "Amazing".  ;)

Yeah I wonder which SEC team did Holtz borrow the idea from since all try it? In 5 seasons at Florida Meyer is 32-8 in the SEC. Under his leadership the Gators are 34-2 at home. Since 1979 the Gators are 113-13 at the Swamp which is the best home record of any NCAA team during that time frame.

I hope all the people that are enjoying their wet dream of USF winning at the Swamp don't go into a state of depression when it's all over. I stand by what I said a few days ago, if USF can hang within 2 scores it will be a real accomplishment for the team. Meyer is notorious for having Florida run up the score after a bad performance in a prior game.

Bring it. This team isn't Miami of Ohio. And he probably learned it from his dad, who Urban worked for.

Wow - aren't you mister Positive.  Meyer was trying to run up the score on Miami - why would we think it will be different with us.  I hope you mean like a safety and field goal when you are talking about keeping it within two scores.  I think most fans understand what we are up against - but my question to you do you think UF knows what they are up against ?  Maybe just maybe under Meyer after Saturday they will be 34-3 at home.  It is possible yes ?  The way you post we should just send in our second team rather then face any possible injuries to our first team and lose them for the rest of the season.  Go back to USF basketball - please.

I get the negativity bashing, but reality tells you after watching that UF game they are a few small tweaks from making massive strides.  Take away Pouncey's meltdowns with the snaps and their production would have been much greater, and they still slept walked to a 21pt victory-- with 6 expected starters missing who will be available for our game.

I think you can understand that as much as you love being a polly-anna about every game, some fans also prefer to not expect the unexpected therefore if it happens on the rare occurence we'll be that much more pleased, and if it does not then we'll be that much less disappointed.

Buddy - Did you just call me a Polly-anna fan ?  You are kidding right ?  You need to read what I wrote before saying that.  Did I say we were going to go up to Gainsville and destroy Fl ?  Unlike you I feel like we have a chance to win this game.  You like stats - ok how about the huge 212 total yards on offense by UF against Miami - OF OHIO.  How about 4 ints and they still only scored 32 points - oh ya - throw in the hail mary pass with 3 minutes left and that got ya there otherwise it was 25-12.  Oh yea forgot about the 4th and 10 at its own 21 that Miami didn't convert.  Nice field position they gave the Gators.  Well I guess the offense didn't really even score 32 since the defense had a 76 yd int TD.  if you don't think that UF should be concerned about their offense I don't know what to say.  Could they explode for 50 - possible.  So do I think we can win - sure do.  Are we the dog - sure are.  But THATS WHY THEY PLAY THE GAME.

You realize you're talking to someone who said the other day that they were an SEC fan, don't you?!?   ::)

BTW Vega, you like facts.

USF has won every home opener in school history

USF rose at an unprecedented pace, earning an AP ranking 104 polls after becoming a full-time, bowl eligible FBS member in 2001. Boise State had the previous record, getting ranked after 115 AP polls during their seventh season. Look where Boise St is now.

USF became the fastest team in the modern era of college football to go from upstart NCAA FBS school to a top-10 ranking. There were 106 AP polls and 112 Coaches Polls since USF became a full-time FBS member in 2001.[16]

The same can be said about the top-5 ranking, which took USF 107 weeks to achieve

USF is 10-2 against teams from Florida , with both losses coming to Miami.

Urban Meyer probably is where he is because of Skip Holtz arranging a meeting between Urban and his Dad.

We'll see what happens this weekend. But if Urban went through fall camp with someone snapping the ball like that, another 20 hours, the max the NCAA allows in a week for practice, isn't going to fix what wasn't fixed in a month.

That does make you wonder what they did during spring & fall practice.

This is what Urban said before the Miami game. This issues seem to not be new, and he had hoped they had gone away.

“I’m very pleased with where we’re at right now,†Florida head coach Urban Meyer said. “We’ve had an excellent week of practice and we’re ready to go.â€

Meyer had his doubts about the team last week after watching practice. He saw a team with tired legs that lacked the passion he wanted to see before the season started. Time has helped their energy come back, and the head coach likes what he sees.
