USF 2011 Games

I'd love to schedule BSU and prove to them just how "easy" it is to get up for one huge game a year. We'd be just as "great" as Boise State too if we played in the mighty WAC conference.

That's kind of exciting to me. There's no way they sign a 2 for 1, but they might be willing to sign a 3 for 2 or a 4 for 3.

Hopefully within the next few years the Big East gets with the program and adds a 9th member to help out with the scheduling... hopefully that would equate to having no more Stony Brooks or Woffords.

This will never happen even if the BE goes to 9.  A 1-AA team will ALWAYS be scheduled.  Just about every other BCS program schedules one as a warmup, why do you want USF to have no warmup game to work out the kinks, when everyone else has one.  2 1-AA teams is very bad, but one is ok.  As long as it counts towards bowl eligibility, a Wofford or FAMU will be scheduled every year.

As far as the other game, it will be a WKU, Ball State type of team.  Our 2 BCS OOC games are already scheduled for 11 (ND and Miami), so don't expect a great opponent.  I would rather it be a creampuff with ND and Miami already scheduled.

I thought I read the '11 season opens on 9/3 in South Bend...could be wrong...I was planning on going until I realized it's my daughter's b-day and the wife wasn't willing to do a themed party in IN.

I bet we go after FAMU or NW Vermont St of the Blind...

UCF will not be scheduled.  It will be another WKU Sunbelt/MAC type team, with ND and Miami already on the OOC schedule.  Skp said he is "not opposed" to UCF, but that doesn't mean he is for it.  That is coach speak for UCF will not be scheduled.  If he really wanted to play UCF, they would have already been scheduled.

No way .... It will be 1 for 1's or nothing. O 'Leary is a as big an ass as some of their fans and there's no way he agrees to that ... That would be beneath them.
