Wasn't there a rumor going around that Grothe said the problem with BJ was that he didn't know half the playbook and instead decided to run whenever he wanted? It probably wasn't true but its wouldn't be the first time a rumor proves out to be true surrounding our team.

I hope Skip wouldn't be afraid to bench Daniels if he indeed just runs around in his own free will because he doesn't understand a play.

BJ will be running the ball during the Gators game. They will be called runs like in the FSU game. Go watch the FSU game again. They did not have an answer for him. When they did bring some people to stop it at the line, we threw over the top for long gains and TD. Talk is UF might be putting a true freshman (Elam from down here in Palm Beach) in at safety. We have to take advantage of the fact that half their defense will be starting in a major college football game for the first time. Meyer realizes he does not have bruising backs or a bruising QB and will have to implement wildcat with TEs/backup QBs.

I had to laugh a little when I read this thread. Holtz is considered flexible and the kind of coach that adapts an offense to the abilities of the players. Didn't Leavitt and the OCs do that the last few years and were criticized by everyone (including me). Last year we had to adapt the offense to Daniels lack of experience. Prior to that Grothe had to carry the load because either through injury or otherwise we had no top tier running back.

Coach Holtz talked about BJ's progression during the spring. He's excited about what he has seen from him. Remember, everyone is learning chinese right now. He will be fine. The team will be fine.

One thing, FSU had no tape on BJ.  They did not know what to expect.  The Gaytors will have a season to look at now.  I think we have to exploit their young guys, and pressure the QB early, shake him.

As to UF using stunts to cover an inexperienced QB, do you base a defense on that game, or build a defense on playing in the Big East and try to add in some plays to stop the non-conference play.  We have traditionally built a team to play nationwide and screwed ourselves in conference play when it became more smashmouth versus spread game.

Hopefully with JR on the coaching staff (is he still on staff), he can work with a couple of these speed demons to have some strong return yards.

if bj is that guy wonderful if not holtz wont hesitate to find someone else

holtz isnt leavitt----holtz will make changes necessary too win--he will not stand pat
