White helmets for next year

There are tweaks to the uniform every year. No big deal.

Ok, with the Leavitt bashing in this thread, if we go .500 or worse this year, a real possibility, does that make Holtz a better coach? 

I think most of us will wait a few years before determining who the better coach is...

IMO our schedule is far too difficult to have any major success. I'm just looking for competition in BE games.

I hope you are wrong about the helmets.  The gold helmets are about the only tradition we have.  I like the whites as an alternate once a year, but definitely as the main helmet.  We've always worn gold helmets (aside from a handful of games).  Even if the color of the gold wasn't correct its way better than those UCF like white fairy helmets.

He mentioned different colored pants.  He also mentioned that a tradition should be started regarding the uniform/color.

No black though, as it is not our color

I've long advocated gold pants, which we could wear with the white jerseys.

I've never understood why we can't have green helmets with a gold iconic "U."  That would look much better with our current uniforms than the gold helmets and the barely discernible shade of a "green" "U" on our current helmets.

IMO, White jerseys look better with green pants.

Gold pants with green jerseys w/gold numerals would  look better than all green.

Since Coach Holtz mentioned there might be some changes in the uniforms I'd expect to see those threads at some point.

There are other teams who have white as the dominant helmet color. Auburn and South Carolina are good examples.

There is nothing wrong with our white helmet.

Nothing except unlike those of the other schools you mentioned, it lacks the school colors!!!
