Danm1983 Posted April 8, 2010 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 2,994 Reputation: 151 Days Won: 4 Joined: 08/20/2009 Share Posted April 8, 2010 You'll be hard pressed to steal recruits away from Bama, Michigan, Notre Dame, LSU, Tennessee, but you definitely have a better chance of keeping kids away from places like Louisville, UConn, West Virginia, Georgia, USC, and most of the not Texas and not Ohio State Big 12 and Big Ten teams, and a majority of the ACC teams too.I think with Holtz and some good seasons, the recruiting will follow. Holtz will do well at selling, and will bring in some good talent, but winning is the only way to raise that talent level across the board. Holtz can bring in some 4 and 5 star guys, and live with mostly 2 and 3 star players, but winning will make it more 3 and 4 star guys on average, and stealing more 5 star guys and keeping them local.
