1) Where did this come from?

2) 14 years of USF football versus 100+ for most schools in the south.  The only way this matters is if its a non-BCS school.  Then again, you can't win them all, just look at our steals from the big 3.

We will still lose in state recruits to the "elite programs" from out of state till we start winning real hardware or start putting a lot more bulls in the NFL via high draft picks.  Some people really have a inflated sense of where this program is........

You'll be hard pressed to steal recruits away from Bama, Michigan, Notre Dame, LSU, Tennessee, but you definitely have a better chance of keeping kids away from places like Louisville, UConn, West Virginia, Georgia, USC, and most of the not Texas and not Ohio State Big 12 and Big Ten teams, and a majority of the ACC teams too.

I think with Holtz and some good seasons, the recruiting will follow. Holtz will do well at selling, and will bring in some good talent, but winning is the only way to raise that talent level across the board. Holtz can bring in some 4 and 5 star guys, and live with mostly 2 and 3 star players, but winning will make it more 3 and 4 star guys on average, and stealing more 5 star guys and keeping them local.

Its gonna take a conference title or 2, and developing great talent out of kids that were given bad/mediocre evaluations out of high school, who end up in playing well in the Pros

i just saw georgia took a bunch of top florida kids that should be bulls

recruiting is about building relationships

usc was terrible for years until pete carroll got there and recruited talent

leavitt was here 11 years and should have owned the state since he should have known the kids and their families since kids started to play football but leavitt wasnt a salesman

USC football has been around for over 100 years

Before your "oh so great" Carroll joined USC had already won multiple National Championships and BCS bowl games and Heisman Trophy winners.

DO YOU SERIOUSLY HAVE ANY READING COMPREHENSION???

:Duh

Elite non-FL programs (e.g. Alabama, Tennessee, UGA, etc) will often beat us for talent if they offer. We need to be beating teams like South Carolina, WVU and Rutgers though.
