Popek the 6'7" lineman for the bulls blew through 30 reps but he probably spends more time in the weightroom
postmortem Posted March 2, 2010 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 743 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 09/08/2007 Share Posted March 2, 2010 popek is also 305lbs. Could JPP benefited from having another year with a good weightlifting coach? probably. would it have been a benefit for him to actually do it and take the chance of getting hurt, having an off year, or losing his speed? probably not.kid had to take a tough route to play D1 and he made the best of his 1 year here. i'd say for everything he's done he's in the best position he could possibly be in. A little more power certainly would help him, but I wouldn't be too concerned. He could have also had a bad lift. Unfortunately, they don't get a second chance. He's almost assured a top 10 pick and maybe a top 5.

He can always do more reps in the weight room as his career continues, but you can only be a top 10 pick once.

Carlton Mitchell would have been better serve to get one more year. He gave away a lots of money by coming out early. JPP can develop strength in the NFL. Jason will grow to about 280-290 in a few years. And as for comparing him to the late G. Adams. He was a soft player who was scared of contact. I JPP is a different type of player. I wish him and the other players luck.

JPP has a bigger lower base. I don't know what he squats. But he looks pretty strong in the legs and hind quarter.

Was that actually his official time?
