I think this guy is a two star recruit for a reason. Size does matter and he is rather smallish. I hope he sticks with Marshall. Hey maybe this guy will prove me wrong and end being a star, but I doubt it. We do need to get some LB's!!! Any other LB's on the USF radar screen?

Like Coach Leavitt said, you don't look at rankings. You look at the production on the field. And if he's under size, that don't mean jack in college.

Production on the high school level doesn't always translate to success in College. Considering his small size, and the size of the offensive linemen he will face in the Big East, I think the transition would not be a smooth one. The rankings aren't always right but they usually are, and I think they are deadon on this one. But again if this guy ends up here I hope he proves me wrong! If we had more scholarships to give out I would take a chance on him, but because scholies are limited I think we should only offer three and four star recruits.

Again, I may be wrong about this, but I don't think the coaches base much of their recruiting decisions on how these scouting organizatons rate players. They look at a player form their own team's perspective...

He's very impressive in the video linked in this thread. If that video is at all a fair representation of his ability, I say go for it.

George Selvie was a 2-star center.

Let's give our coaches a little bit of credit here.  Part of the deal is looking at potential... and not necessarily where they played in H.S.
