**** we are getting to the point  where we may have to have a probation office on campus like they have in Tallahassee. I'm really wondering whether we are seeing a growing trend with some of these poor kids. The boosters keep getting caught paying them off so now the kids have to resort to burgarly in order to survive. More of a statement of US have and have nots than the kids who are getting caught.

He isnt on our team, he's still in high school.

We've had 1 or 2 arrests in a team of about 75 over a 2 tear span?  Not a huge deal.

I would hold off on pulling his offer for now, he could have been hanging out with a bunch of morons and just in the wrong place at the wrong time.  If that is the case, he needs to find some new friends.  If not, the kid may have thrown out his meal ticket...

Land O'Lakes QB Stevie Weatherford gets North Texas offer; eligible for spring practice

Land O'Lakes quarterback Stevie Weatherford has picked up another scholarship offer.

North Texas offered the Gators' quarterback Monday, Land O'Lakes coach Matt Kitchie said.

The connection with North Texas is through offensive coordinator Mike Canales, who offered Weatherford as a sophomore when he was at USF, Kitchie said.

Weatherford also has offers from Boston College, Iowa State, East Carolina and Southern Methodist.

In addition, Kitchie said Weatherford will be eligible to participate in spring practice when it begins next week. Weatherford's manditory 20-day suspension from exta-curicular activities ends Friday, Kitchie said.

Weatherford was arrested March 26 on suspicion of burglary and grand theft, both felonies.

Kitchie said Weatherford was never charged.
