If you're going to straight out say someone is getting paid in recruiting then you better have the evidence.  It's certainly an NCAA violation so such an accusation better be supported.

That's not to say that the Fort Scott coach does not push his kids to Nebraska, to the point of forcing what he wants on them.  However, when USF sends kids to Pearl River CC or East Mississippi CC, we want those coaches pushing those kids back to us.  Could be a similar situation here where Nebraska pushes kids to Fort Scott and he returns the favor.

Ok sanjay, JPP was not an Nebraska recruit. There was no pushing by them. But you must ask the question. What do that coach get out of PUSHING his kids to Nebraska??? What he did to JPP last year was slimey.

Didn't the coach lock J Williams LOI in his office for two days or something?

Fort Scott coach agrees to send best players to Nebraska and Nebraska says we'll send you all our kids who don't qualify.  I did not mean to say that the Fort Scott coach only pushed Nebraska commits.  These CC coaches recruit too so he gets to say, "hey I get my guys to Nebraska so come here to Ft. Scott."  Is there some back scratching?  I believe so.  Is it a cash payment?  Not ready to go there.

And what he did was slimey.  Wold not let JPP use the fax machine in the coach's office so JPP had to walk down the street to Kinko's/library (I forget this detail exactly) and use the fax.

Coaches keep their jobs by winning .... Winning usually hinges on having good players .... Nebrasksa usually recruits pretty good players ... Having a pipeline to some of those players who can't qualify is a very, very good thing ... This isn't rocket surgery.

Deering is taking an unofficial visit to USF this weekend. He's used up all his official visits. At the moment FSU and RU are his two finalists.  >:(  :puke

What does it mean if it's unofficial? He can't sign with us?

He can sign with us.

Recruits are only allowed 5 OFFICIAL visits.

Deering has already used up all five.

What it means in practice is that he has to pay the costs of the trip, rather than the school picking up his tab.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
