Deering is taking an unofficial visit to USF this weekend. He's used up all his official visits. At the moment FSU and RU are his two finalists.  >:(  :puke

What does it mean if it's unofficial? He can't sign with us?

He can sign with us.

Recruits are only allowed 5 OFFICIAL visits.

Deering has already used up all five.

What it means in practice is that he has to pay the costs of the trip, rather than the school picking up his tab.   

And he can not partake in any of the off-campus festivities even if he picks up the tab.  On unofficials he's relegated to only on-campus tours only.  You can label this situation as highly unlikely at this point.
