No one knows if or when the B-10 goes after another team. What dominoe effect it will have - who knows but I sure enjoy reading everyones take on it. Why doesn't anyone talk about TCU? I know geographically they don't make a lot of sense to be in anything called Big East but they make about as much sense as a Tampa school in the Big East (or Marquette and Depaul). Look at the distances by car? They are about the same as Tampa to these schools. It we lose Syracuse or Rutgers let's say and then add TCU and Memphis, I would say we may be better off. Ft. Worth to Memphis 490 miles Louisville 870 miles Cincinnati 975 miles Tampa 1190 miles Pittsburgh 1250 miles Morgantown 1290 miles Piscataway 1500 miles Syracuse 1500 miles Storrs 1725 milesNow look at USF's present travel:Tampa to Louisville 880 miles Cincinnati 925 miles Morgantown 1030 miles Pitt 1100 miles Rutgers 1130 miles Cuse 1300 miles Storrs 1300 milesIf Memphis were added they would be our closest in Conference rival at 810 miles. You remove Pitt, Rutgers or Cuse and and our travel might be improved. Just my 2 cents. I think TCU would leave the Mountain West to confirm a BCS slot. I mean, look at what LA Tech and Hawaii do for travel. I agree, and I mentioned TCU earlier in the thread. It leads to a loose interpretation of "East", but then, the Big Ten has a loose interpretation of Ten and the A-10 has a loose interpretation of both Atlantic and Ten. Guest MiggyBull
I think extending invitations to TCU and Houston before the Big Ten finishes its assessment would be the best course of action. Then, if the Big East loses a team, we will still have addressed our scheduling issue. If not, then we have 11 teams. I don't like the idea of adding Memphis, ECU, or UCF, personally. TCU and Houston have history and recent, sustained success. Basically, they show more promise and are located in Texas, a recruiting hotbed. The problem is what to do about basketball under such scenario... It's not a bad idea.Regionally it's no worse than USF and hell add another team from Texas and the Big East has it's 9 teams to appease all the coaches and a great new recruiting ground.or is there some way to make monetary sense to lure BC or Va Tech back? I dont think there is.

Peterson has stayed there with all his success, he'll be a staple.
