What they should do with Ford is make him a blocking back.  One extra person in the backfield to provide protection for BJD.  Then, you can run some delays, or screens to him if warranted.

Carl Franks - good recruiter, terrible player development and in-game personnel decisions.

He should be kept on the program, but should not have anything to do with our running backs.

Question. Who is on this team today that is better than they were 2 years ago?

Those players showed little in any improvement. That is on the coaches. One player not improving is on the player. A whole team not improving is on the coaches.

where are all mike ford supporters?

As someone else said, it's a lost cause.

It's also one of the most glaring mis-uses of talent on this football team, in recent history.

Think about how unproductive he's been this season, and consider that his career totals are:

291 rushes

1221 yards

21 TDs

That averages out to about 25 carries a game over a single 12 game season.

Instead, that is a 3 YEAR total.

'07: 138 rushes 645 yds 12 TD (4.7 yds/carry)

'08: 102 rushes 407 yds 5 TD (4.0 yds/carry...with a high ankle sprain all year)

'09: 51 rushes 169 yds 4 TD (3.3 yds/carry...as a "short yardage back")

So this coaching staff turned a career 4.4 yard/carry guy, who could actually make the first tackler miss, into a goal line back.  BRILLIANT!

It is the number of stutter steps he takes behind the line of scrimmage before he gets hit for 3 yard loss!

I don't think you can look at it this way, how many of the seniors have been playing as starters for at least three years to look at the improvement?  I mean, Grothe improved, Mitchell improved, I think Alvarado improved.

You were kidding about that one, right?  Or are you thinking of his rapping ability?

On your list, aside from Mike Ford, who else was recruited by BCS teams? Seriously, I don't know. Maybe Mitchell, don't recall Bogan being a huge recruit for us. I guess Grothe, but Penn State wanted him as a DB, not QB. Murphy? Some of those guys had no talent when they got here, it's hard to say they regressed. If you recall, Murph is the guy that didn't turn his head around on the two fake kicks RU ran in 2007. He actually had coverage, but no instincts to be a corner.
