Leavitt was going apeshit over the chop blocking they were doing and the refs finally started calling it on them and they stopped, more or less.

exactly my thought.  They were using chop blocks all day, and finally started to get called on it.  They can talk about cheap shots, but lets talk about clear penalties.

Our shot was legal.  Period.  Which is why there was no call. 

Players get hurt, it is part of the game.  sucks, but it is what it is.

Heres the play in question. Nothing illegal about it, but agree that it probably was unnecessary. D-linemen are told all the time to watch for cutblocks, he wasn't ready for it.

i guess i missed that play after seeing the FSU defender dive over the pile on the goal line

That play was hilarious.  Whisle blows - player flys through the air - flag flys - refs talk -flag picked up.  Man that guy got up in the air.  I would use him in goal line situations for the offense.

while searching for the taunting in question, I found out that in the Wofford game, they gave Hermann a personal foul for a chop block that Sims actually committed. Happens with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter (score 26-7, 2 hours, 38 minutes into the telecast). So he was wrongfully accused there--- he never even hit anyone on the play itself although two other Bulls fired out low along with Sims who did a rolling chop block.

anyway-- still trying to find the taunting penalty-- thought it was at home but must have been against WKU--

yep-- Hermann got the taunting call with the Bulls inside the 5 yard line and the score 7-3 (about an hour exactly into the recording) and Grothe got up in his face about it.

but back to the chop block-- he didn't do that penalty but got it marked against him anyway. Pretty sure the coaches know what's up-- they grade that film every week.
