the hurricanes have played famu at home every other year for a long time now, they would be a great team to get if we have to get a 1AA.  and yes u shouldn't base the decision on who to bring here by the band, but if u haven't seen their band perform your missing out.  definetly worth us getting

Well, they probably would come if you paid them. Know any real good numbers for the LOTTO tonight? ;)

Uh... come again? I don't quite follow you.

And could we please stop talking about friggin' FAMU? Yes, their band rocks (and I'm not being sarcastic, I've seen them and they really are awesome) but we are BIG EAST now and we should only be playing I-AA games as a last resort.

And how long does it take to book a I-AA home game anyway? This FAMU negotiation has been going on for at least a year and a half now. Getting the Big East invite didn't take so long as getting this stupid one-off I-AA home game finalized.

Put out a 500k+ tender for each open date in 2005 and I bet you get two I-A teams to show up easy. That's why I wanted to know if anyone was channelling any good LOTTO numbers lately. ;)

Oh, I get it, six home games is financially justifiable only if we hit the lotto. My point precisely.

What is the current 2005 schedule? Last I knew, we had 4 openings.

FAU home and away should be done.....   Hell we would travel at least 5,000 to that game and it would be a nice short drive...  Yes they would be a Div. 1 opponent!

3 BE Home

UCF Home

4 BE Away

PSU Away

2 Open Home (if we insist on 6 home games)

In addition to UCF we may have a more game against a C-USA team

Right now, we have 8 of 11 games scheduled against BCS opponents - kind of cool.

Have we ever played more than 2 BCS teams in a season?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
