when he came out of high school, everyone would have salivated over the thought of him committing to us.  it shouldn't be any different now.  he's a top-flight talent from the bay area, everything we've ever wanted but have never been able to land because we are a 2nd tier school (exception: mike ford, johnny peyton, and others).  now that he might be coming, we should welcome him with open arms to the bulls family.

if he were back in tampa, he'd have his calming influences around-- his parents and his h.s. coach.. so yes, bring him in-- everyone heard of robert marve, no one heard of evan landi out of high school.. bring him in, give him a scholarship, let him compete.

sure he has his baggage, but the kid has talent.

i say bring him in, and if he keeps pulling the same primadonna **** he pulled at Miami, cut him loose or put him in the dog house.

IMO, it's better to have him on the team and have the option of using him [or not] than not having that option at all.

besides which, from what i've read of his situation at Miami the blame is not entirely his... the coaching staff didn't do a very good job of helping to mold him into a responsible young man.  coaching is more than just X's and O's, and i think the Miami coaches share some accountability for that situation.

That's because Marve is a guido.

LOL ..... "and others" ... it pains you to even think about how good our draft class was this year after all your ******** and moaning, doesn't it??  :D

If Marve wants to come here, let him walk on to see how serious he is. One thing we DON'T need right now is any kind of distractions on the team...

i surely wouldnt mind if he came here.  if he doesnt i wont care either but you all are kidding yourself if you think USF wouldnt be better off with him here.

at the same time we would be fine without him too.

It's not as if he were to sign that he would just show up and have a job.  He would still have to earn his way into a job - and part of that would be work ethic, etc.  If here, he'd be on a short leash, too.  He won't get another chance and he knows this.  If he wants to work and make the team he will, but it's not an automatic.  If he can beat out BJD or others then we've got us a good quarterback.  He could also win another position, too.  CJL won't treat him line a prrima donna, he'll be just another guy who might be able to make a contribution (albeit one who probably will)
