Wow People on this board follow CJL so blindly that they are really convinced that this was his plan the whole time.  ::)

it's kind of sickening when you think about it.  this was obviously an error on leavitt's part and we're lucky tresey was still around and it didn't hurt us in the end.  tresey could have found a job and we would have been completely S.O.L.

I am just curious as to how it was "obviously an error on leavitt's part". None of us know how this coaching search actually went down. We do know that every guy who interviewed received a promotion and/or a raise. I am not saying Leavitt did great, just as I am not saying he butchered the process. Want to know why? Because I do not know what actually happened. Speculation is one thing, but to say Leavitt obviously erred is ignorant.

You said Leavitt would never have hired someone proven like this.

How can you say this when Cinci won the Big East on HIS defense?

This was a great hire by Leavitt... I was not in the room with him so I'm not going to speculate that he bumbled around or what not. The important part is that at the end of the day we got a battle tested Big East DC that just won the BE Title and was on the radar of Miami.

I look forward to watching the Bulls gore Cincy in the near future.

I'd like more predictions out of him, honestly. He seems to have a knack for picking what we won't do lately.

First recruiting, now this. His pride has to be faltering.

The current and recruited DB's have to be excited about this.  No disrespect to T Douglas, but quite an upgrade in coaches.

Hard to argue about that, but I'm sure someone here will. LOL

George Selvie has to be happy about this hire, Coach Joe is known for defensive schemes that produce alot of sacks.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
