Giddins (barring injury) will not redshirt.  I'd be willing to make a sizeable wager on that.  Hard to tell bigtime recruits they'll get to play early if they are good enough when you're best recruit is redshirting, especially at a position needing depth.

Not willing to bet, just think don't see him beating the depth - especially if JPP signs. I hope he does play because that would just make us MUCH deeper at DE ... as he would be on the 2 Deep.

If JPP signs, Im pretty confident this guy will start. He is a specimen who would provide speed,size, and long arms on the quick drops. I love our line now by the way, and if he doesn't start someone would have to had beat him out and I'm ok with that as well.

Your reasoning is sound.  Ryne will get in the rotation so we can use that as a recruiting tool next fall.  We finally got a big time kid and not getting him in the game early would not make us a more attractive option to future big time kids we pursue.  If we can't sell early playing time we are not going to win many battles with traditional power houses.
