Didn't see anything on this board about him. Do we even have a chance?

He visited last month.  He still has a couple visits left.  The Huskers are a big possibility, but we have a shot.

Same way a 1-star center spends 2 years at the only D1 school offering him a scholarship and becomes an All-American in his 3d season.  Recruiting rankings aren't everything, and some kids thrive when given good coaching and an opportunity.  Also, 18 year old young men keep growing and maturing.

That's according to the "thinking" of his JUCO coach. However, there are other sources that say USF is still one of his favorites.

Here is what was written in Greg's blog:

USF has been recruiting his teammate at Fort Scott, defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, but Sims said he does not believe Pierre-Paul is still considering the Bulls.

"I don't think USF is in the game anymore with Pierre-Paul," Sims said.

Here is one response on his blog saying something else:

Although his coach may be telling you that USF is out of the picture for JPP, there's some information on the USF Scout site's recruiting board that suggests that may not be the case.

Personally, I think that the kid might just be trying to keep his options at USF open in case he doesn't get the last minute offer from the school he really wants to go to that is keeping their own option on him in case they can't get the kid they really want.

yeah a slightly different scenario, Selvie had two years under the same coaching staff which has proven to develop all-americans, and NFL players at DE, and LB.  JPP was a very raw HS guy that was at two different JUCO's in two years.  A nice player, but how does one go from 225lbs in HS, as JPP was, to 275lbs and that's at two separate JC's...

I'd like to land him, but I think you'd get hthe same scenario as Bedford.  He'd be sitting behind Selvie, and Marshall, and don't be surprised if Giddens is pushing for significant minutes by mid-season.

whoa whoa whoa,....he would sit?...His decision is going to come down to which school he can play right away. Thats the most important thing to him. He feels like with usf he can come right away and play. The only way he can get that idea is if they are promising him the job opposite of selvie. This guy is a monster. If anyone is coming in right away to start its this guy. He would allow giddens to redshirt and take over for selvie the next year.

This guy chooses usf..HE STARTS..feel free to bash me if im wrong later.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
