Since neither Memphis nor Southern Miss had the good taste to lose today, the above teams are our likely options for bowl opponent.

Of these choices, who would you like to see as the opposing team in the Internet Phone Thingy In Trouble With The Better Business Bureau Because We Couldn't Even Get A Crappy Bank To Sponsor Us St. Petersburg Bowl?

I would normally say Southern Piss, but without Jeff "Gouge my eyes out" Bowers missing, it's just not the same.

I'd rather have fun giving Memphis fans a hard time ala the old basketball days when they changed their hotel location thinking we were going to haze them the night before the game. They have their one internet poster that is really fun to mess with!

If it were me, anyone but a current or former CDOA team.

However, if I have to pick from that list, I'd say Memphis. I've

had my fill of both ECU and SoMiss (though I do miss the days

of eye gouging and EagleInYune).

Well according to USM board there is talk of St Pete Bowl taking FAU and sending Southern Miss to Independence Bowl.

Well...for attendance sake, FAU is within acceptable travel distance. I wouldn't put it past the bowl to try that.

I'll take another piece of Southern Miss anyday.

Southern P1ss.  We owe them a shellacking (or two) to make the series even.  Yes, Jeff "Quality not Quantity" Bowers is not there, but their fans still think the same.

While I don't think we will own the third best team in Mississippi, we should be able to eek out the win.

well...Southern Miss is only an 1 1/2 hours from New Orleans...so you have to assume they will go there.

the way i see it in C-USA:

Liberty Bowl - Tulsa/ECU winer

GMAC Mobile - Tulsa/ECU loser

Texas Bowl - Rice

Armed Forces (ft. worth) - Houston

St. Pete - Memphis

NO Bowl - Southern Miss

looks like USF v. Memphis in the inaugural Magic Jack St. Pete Bowl.
