You do realize that the team would struggle like Michigan is this year trying to move their scheme in the opposite direction that we would be trying to do?  It would take 2-3 recruiting classes to get the right personnel in here and it would take a huge upgrade in the talent we recruit at OL which would be hard to do while having a couple down years while the transition is made.  We are built for the spread and should stick with it because a few down years in a row could really set this program back and slow the momentum it has built.  Also if you look at the top teams in the nation look at how many run the spread, its proven that you can be an elite team and run the spread you just need a competent offensive coordinator which we are severely lacking at the moment.  Also 2 of the last 3 national champions have run true spreads in Florida and Texas and LSU also implements elements of the spread quite often in their offense.

Yes, that's it.  Leavitt is handcuffing Gregory.

I somewhat agree with Smazza!!(I must be going crazy). We need pro style offense. The no huddle sucks. Look at how Pitt is winning games, running pro style, run heavy offense. Uses up the clock and keeps them in games.

What about Dana Holgorsen from Houston or Gus Malzahn from Tulsa?  Holgorsen was the OC under Leach at Texas Tech and has Houston with the #3 offense in the country. Tulsa has the #1 total offense, #1 scoring offense, #5 passing offense, and the #7 running offense.

Gus Malzahn from Tulsa is not the guy. He only spent two years at Tulsa. I think the man making Tulsa click has to be Herb Hand.

Dana Holgorsen. Would be interesting. USF would certainly be pass happy offense with him around.

Stan Parrish - Ball State

Has coached a lot of good quarterbacks in his day in a pro-style offense. (Brad Johsnson, Brian Griese and Tom Brady)

I like what I saw from Ball State last night.  A LOT of play action on first down.  Beautiful.

I watched the game too. I thought Miami did a good job.
