  1. If Vandy is the best for him, then that is great and I hope he does well. But toying with the hometown fans, putting on the USF hat, and then switching - that's not funny and is bound to upset some hometown folks. I guess I'm disappointed in that since he's such a smart kid. Best of luck to him at Vandy though.
  2. That would be fine with me too. Hopefully Holtz will at least give him a look at QB if that's what he really wants and needs to commit.
  3. I really want Josh Grady to sign with USF. Leadership and decision making are more important than the 'measurable' physical tools at QB.
  4. Even though I thought our chances to land Teddy were 30% at best, I am really disappointed. It's one thing to lose a Miami kid to UM, but to lose him to Louisville is depressing.
  5. Does anyone know where an out-of-towner can order a Rocky Driver headcover? I searched the internet, but couldn't find any. Thanks in advance for any help.
  6. By Big East play, I would like to see him 100+ yards every game. He is a 5 star, coveted recruit, so for him to be as good as promised, expectations should be high. Nothing wrong with that.
  7. I follow and appreciate JoeB's posts. I just don't respond much. That doesn't mean it's not appreciated. But you are right, it won't hurt to give the Team some props. I'm more excited about USF baseball than I have been in years, and Lelo will get them to the CWS. If not this year, then soon.
  8. Woolard sounds commited to hiring a top notch coach. Don't underestimate his ability to pull this off.
  9. Any of the top 3 listed on Greg's blog would be OK with me - Grant, Lowery, or Gottfried. Actually, I would prefer Gottfried if he is available. I do think we need a 'name' coach who can attract interest to the Program. Grant and Lowery are hot commodities right now, but not in the same league yet as Gottfried.
  10. This news is awesome with a capital A. With ridiculous depth and talent at LB, I'd like to see C. Robinson stay at DE. He's needed there more with Julmiste's dismissal.
  11. Glad to hear Matt is almost 100%! Gregory will be backup. He will get plenty of reps in the Spring, and by Fall I expect he will be better than Julmiste was.
  12. The main reason USF has a good chance to beat Auburn is USF returns all starters on both O and D Line and Auburn only returns 2 or 3 at the most combined. Also, USF D should be good enough to keep the game close no matter what. Homer refs and turnovers are my biggest concerns. A win against Auburn and SEC will be the signature win for USF program. This game is huge! By the way, an earlier poster said we played Oklahoma St - he meant Oklahoma.
  13. I am very familiar with UNC, if you check threads before our game last season I mentiond how bad Bunting was and how the team check out on him in 2005. I think Butch will be great for the program, I just think it will take a season or two, it's not the talent that Butch had when he was with Miami. Dailey has proven to have the inconsistencies that he had at Nebraska. Add on top of that their schedule is brutal on them they go; Virginia, @ USF, @ Va Tech, Miami, South Carolina, @ Wake Forest, & Maryland in the middle of the season. They have talent, but a lot of it is young, I don't think a bowl game is out of their reach, but I also cannot in my heart say that they will be a definitive bowl team especially since they've only been to 2 in the last 8 seasons. Butch Davis will have them playing hard, and I think that program has a great future in his hands. The difference is they have elite talent Joe which can make turnarounds much easier and quicker then most imagine.  They landed three five star recruits that by most accounts should be immediate impact guys.  Joe Dailey was inconsistent but that was because their staff was that way, they'd yank him at the drop of a hat.  Butch did a lot with a little during his time at UM in the early going.  Don't forget he got a team on probation and immediately turned them into winners.  They're going to be a much better team next year because they'll be well coached and it will allow that elite talent the opportunity to succeed. UNC scares me in many ways because they possess so many weapons that were not utilized properly.  Hell, I felt against UNC that if Bunting stuck to the run in the early going he would have had a chance to win.  I still think that team finishes with 6-7 wins and makes a bowl.  The goal is to make sure we're not one of those victims. Bien is absolutely right.  I was watching the UNC-USF game last year saying that if UNC just pounds the run, they will win this game.  They made a TON of mistakes in that game and really gave it away more than USF winning it.  Bunting was terrible, and you will see how quickly this program turns around with Davis.  UNC has talent, and good coaching will make an immediate impact. However, with the game at USF this year, and with the progress the team made last year, I still expect a win for the Bulls.
  14. West Virginia at Marshall is a rivalry game and deserving of the top 10. Leaving off Rutgers-Louisville is a joke, especially after the game they played last year.
  15. Yes and she has 4 years of eligibility!!!  ;D Now that's funny!
