This happened to me during the second quarter of the Bulls game-

After standing and cheering for two plays where Army was the 20 yard line, A TPD officer came up behind me, tapped me on the shoulder (I was sitting at this point) and told me it was inappropriate to stand.  I asked if he were kidding……...... He wasn’t.

No, I was not drinking, Just cheering with other fans around me.

WTF?  Now I can’t even cheer at a college football game???  Everyone around me thought this guy was out of his mind, but it still put a damper on my night.

I like the CITS, but I now know it is time for USF to build their own stadium

You used all of your cheer minutes, in the first quarter, just like JL used all of his timeouts    ;D

The "official" policy at Ray Jay is that standing is not permitted for safety reasons.  If you are at your seats, you are supposed to be seated.

It's a BS policy, but it covers their butts.  Because it is possible to fall forward over the seats in front of you, you could get hurt (and then sue) or hurt someone else (who could then sue)...

However, this is the first time I have heard of anyone trying to "enforce" this policy.

We have exactly the same problems and Man Utd games over here....

The response - The rest of the section stands up!  They cannot make you all sit down

I thought it looked funny with everyone trying to move around the stadium while keeping their butts on the ground!  ;D

stand  - v. To rise to an upright position on the feet.

walk - v. To move over a surface by taking steps with the feet at a pace slower than a run.

BULLheaded, did you know there was a difference? ;-) ;-) ;-)

Some dweeb probably complained. Then they have to do something about it, I believe ...........
