yeah but as some point-- aren't we there to watch a football game and not to be hall monitors?

personally-- I think this entire scenario is being way overblown.

IMO, it is being overblown.

There is absolutely no reason to accept bad behavior as okay in our place because it happens elsewhere.

There is also no reason to believe everything that is written. Sorry but I was at the stadium on Friday and none of the four sections within my sightlines experienced any trouble. We had 4 KU fans several rows behind our group and they were treated with no more or no less respect than we treat USF fans.

It's one thing to be embarrassed and realize that we should strive to be the best. IT's another thing to go down the road of self-flagellation that some USF fans are advocating.

Two Sentinel staffers, friends of mine, attended the Kansas game by purchasing tickets and sitting in the stands. Chris Hays, the Sentinel's NFL editor, described it like this: "It was an atmosphere of drunken, disorderly people and it was not limited to any section. It was the entire stadium.

Bold statement, seeing how I didn't see anything going on that night!! Not saying it didn't happen, but I didn't see or hear any of it!

Aside from USC, you are talking about NFL games.  I expect drunk idiots and lower class folks at NFL games.  Not at college games.

Our fan base needs to mature a bit (not all of them, but certainly a small percentage).

I am not happy that we are being portrayed this way.

I agree with Matt, if we had fans doing that then they need to stop or be banned from USF football games... Period.
