The University of South Florida nearly had a clean sweep of the BIG EAST weekly football awards with defensive honors going to junior safety Nate Allen and special teams honors going to true freshman kicker Maikon Bonani.  Junior quarterback Matt Grothe was named to the weekly honor roll.

Bonani got it?  That's pretty sweet.  I didn't think he would because of the miss, but I do suppose the game winner can get some things over looked.

He is exactly the kind of back that will run the ball up the gut time and time again against us.  Much like Ray Rice.  He had a great game from the stats.  Didn't see the game.  They can't give it to Matt every week.  :D

200+ yards is impressive, but not against Virginia.  Grothe was more clutch.  He got an honorable mention, though.

I look forward to seeing our new DL against UConn's rush attack.
