Grand Opening of new Marshall Center

Well, I said I couldn't wait, and I was right. I darted straight here after work and am now walking around while typing this on my phone.

This place is amazing. Doesn't even feel like the same school. Live music, huge crowd, this place is electric.

I'm off to do some more exploring...

I can't wait to see the new place... I'll probably stop by during the UT-Martin weekend.

walking in the new marshall center really makes me feel like im at a different school.......in a really really good way......i got goosebumps when i first walked into the atrium.....place is sick....its not all completly open and there still working on some stuff......but it is sweet.....and they still have to tear down the old marshall center and build the enhanced plaza

When I was there, my friend that I was walking around with actually asked the head of the Marshall Center about this, inquiring whether we could establish some kind of tradition where people walk around the seal, but he said that since it's so close to the entrance it would create too much of a bottleneck for people trying to get in.

Maybe instead of avoiding it when we walk in, every person should make sure they touch it...kinda like banging the "play like a champion today" sign on the way out of the football tunnell at ND. I know, I know...you can't force traditions, but it's food for thought...

I noticed one on one of the upper floors, on the west side of the buliding near the wall that faced the atrium. It was kind of hidden, but it was there.
