Chris Rainey is a beast.  I've seen him run in person (Dreadnaught games), and he is one fast dude.

Boooooo.

Lakeland sucks!

Go Braves!

I could research, but that would be too much work...

Didn't Rainey split carries in HS? Maybe with a guy named Taylor? Let's see how he does as an every down back before we crown him king of RBs. Ford has proven that he is a workhorse...13 straight games over 200 yards in HS. Give him the ball, let him find that magic again.

Chris Rainey is a beast.
Not exactly, he is a skinny 5' 9" with some muscle.  I too have seen him in person, at the gym.  I will agree on the fast, he is the fastest football player in Florida.

I meant "beast of an RB".  He's that good.

when did ford get so good????

I hope you are being sarcastic.

Ford has always been someone to look out for. Kid is a beast.

Mark May saying Ford is going to "make some noise" this year doesn't change anything.

If we give Ford opportunties good things will happen. Period.

i didnt see it at oregon game

i didnt see it most of last season

does he have skills? sure

but he aint joe mcknight

Smazza your dead wrong.

You didn't see it last season because Ford was out of football for 2 years.  Ford still holds the Florida rushing yard record for a season.

I'm confident that Ford played against stronger competition than McKnight did in Louisiana.  Ford just needed to get a year under his belt.

McKnight is surrounded around much better talent so of course he will do good, but I don't think he's better than Ford.

Your argument doesn't really prove Smazza wrong.

You're speculating that Fords high school accolades will translate to the NCAA.  He is still unproven.  He's shown flashes of greatness, but there's still a lot to be desired from him.

This year will be the test.  If he doesn't break out this year he may never.

if Ford has less than half the fumbles as last season, it will be a great year for the Bulls.  his blocking ability also needs to improve.

Holy crap he was awesome in HS.  If he has regained that form then we'll be unstoppable.  Now I need to watch it again...

It was only 11 straight games, although that is still pretty impressive.

Ford will impress us this season. I also feel Taylor and even Williams will do some great things along the way. As much as people want to run Ford exclusively, I like the idea of using multiple skill types of runners to accomplish several things-- keeps legs fresh, keeps defense off balance, lets Grothe focus on passing and only running when the opportunity is perfect.

yeah... He ran I think a 4.3... and was bigger than anyone else on the field.

I thought it was funny that he was doing basically the same stuff he did in HS against elon....but, thats elon (not much different).
