Stampede- Sun Sentinel Preview-NO USF

So I open the paper today to see the following

"College Focus- UF, FSU, FAU and UCF preview"

Once you go to the page there are previews for UM and those mentioned.  I can understand the big 3 plus FAU which is local, but I am tired of them showing UCF and not USF.

I am going to write a strongly worded e-mail explaining how we are a ranked team with many kids from South Florida on our roster...oh and that we beat the hell out of UCF every year.

I cannot wait to move back to Tampa!

I think that FIU and Miami fans should be the ones who should be legitimately pissed.  Yeah, I know it would be nice for their paper to look beyond their region and include USF and FSU for their grads in the paper's subscriber list, but maybe they are assuming the interest/readership  isn't there.

and they're setting aside next weekend to do a several-page spread on USF.

The Orlando Sentinel and the Sun Sentinel are virtually the same paper.  My father in Orlando sends me an article and my brother will send me the exact same one from the Sun Sentinel

The Sun Sentinel and Orlando Sentinel are owned by the same parent company. The Sun Sentinel basically borrows the preview from Orlando and prints it in South Florida.

The absence of UM and FIU should have sent up a flag that the preview obviously wasn't complete .... Hopefully, the excitable ones read this before dispatching a complaining email.

It's not surprising that the Sun (and their Orlando paper) wouldn't have a write-up for USF, since we have always been included among the other colleges by them. Perhaps, CJM should pull an "O'Leary" and not talk to them until they give us a separate listing.
