Well during that 23 game steak we needed a miracle to keep from losing to them at home.

so we should win handily.

What does Pitt have to do with this? Obviously reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. We bring back a team of upperclassmen who played in that game back in 2006, so we will not be taking them lightly by any means.

The point is that any team can win on any given Saturday. Did Michigan think they would lose to App State? Did we think we would only beat FIU by 1? I didnt I remember putting a pretty large wager on USF covering the 21.5 point spread.

I think we will handle them alittle easier than last time. Ned is their running back and he is awful.

But for the 12/6 WVU game, I am more worried about non-conf than conference schedule because we are prone to laying the occasional egg.  I expect our focus in conference next year to be sharp.

Night game at UCF (for the first time a solid home environment for Knights) and road game at NC State (improving under Tom O'Brien) are trap city.

Last time I looked, the game is listed as a W. Not - W*.

What smack can even be said to trash talk us from FIU? I just don't let get how a school that barely got a win after a 23 losing streak can ever smack talk anyone? (Including UCiF)

Well during that 23 game steak we needed a miracle to keep from losing to them at home.

OUCH!  Not to mention that the "miracle" was the result of a series of FIU mistakes: missed XP, turnover and a penalty.  Otherwise, FIU would've walked out of RayJay with the WIN that night.

Next to the Oregon melt-down, the FIU game was the next worst-played game since we've been in the Big East.

usf better be preparred and ready

exactly.

FIU may be the epitome of FBS futility, but we didn't exactly beat them like they didn't belong on the field with us.

my fear is that FIU becomes this year's FAU:  another Florida team that isn't afraid of us giving us all we can handle in their house.

the FAU game was literally one of the worst games i've ever attended, and had me on edge and uncomfortable the entire game.

if our teams acts like some of our fans and goes down to Miami thinking all we have to do is put pads on and we'll win the game, we might end up the butt of all those FIU jokes.

I think the team learned a lesson from the FAU game that hopefully will care over to the FIU game this year. This team isn't good enough to just show up and win, actually I don't think any college team is that good look at USC vs Stanford or Michigan vs App State just for last year.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
