This kid was the starting PG for the #2 High School team in the country. He was the leader on a team that was 24-1 with the only loss being to St. Anthony's in the NJ HS finals. Probably the most competitive HS BB league in the country. St. Anthony's is 32-0. between the 2 schools I believe they put 8 kids into major college BB programs. I think 2 or 3 of them were McDonalds All Americans. This kid has major leadership skills and knows how to play and win against BE caliber players. He has been doing it for most of his BB life. He is coming into the program with experience against big time competition. This is a tremendous pick up for Heath. He sure sounds like it... in his comments he shows a little ego, but that's good as long as it doesn't get out of control.Oh, and with those 8 players between the two teams going into major programs... aren't 6-7 of them going to Big East schools? They are, but the much bigger point to be made here is that this kid was the LEADER on the 2nd best team in the league and the country. 2nd best team in the country. He is already used to playing against and with kids that are going to UL, Kansas, Pittsburgh, etc.The closest comparison I can find to McMillian is Qavon Taylor. He was the leader on the defense of the best team in the country with all his teamates getting offers from major programs while Qavon was undersized and was passed over. The best part of this deal is opening the pipeline to the NJ/NY Prep league Pipeline. Being in Bob Hurley's good graces and having one of the best coaches in HS basketball sending you kids is a huge step for this program. For now and for the future. Right now, we have no swagger and it takes a kid with a mountain sized ego to move mountains which is what we're going to be asking him to do. I like this kid more and more as I learn about him. He's got a good start, especially, as you mentioned, beginning a relationship with the Hurley program...
Guest Mr. AKA
If anyone has been watching march madness, it should be plain to see that success, especially in the tourney, comes from the backcourt. He is the 57 ranked PG in the nation, we need a quick guard who can set the table, and create for others. To be able to build a pipeline to that area, with Hurley connections on top of that, can do nothing but great things for the rebirth of our program. Here's to enjoying at least two years of DJ and Dwan in the backcourt.

You said he's as big and looks like him, now I am just HOPING he plays like him. We'll wait a few years and then decide.
