Well then, it appears the Ramada and the Embassy will be the two official bulls hotels.

I too will stick with Ramada.. The idea of walking to the stadium on game day and not having to pay for parking is what led me here..  I think with the money we save ($40 a night) we will do the alumni tailgate and not have to worry about packing tailgating stuff... I do love the embassy suites, however, driving back anywhere after the game is a big negative to me! In this day in age where a tank of gas is costing me $60, and I have to fill it 4 times... This is easily shaping up to a $700 weekend (2 tix 75, hotel w/ taxes 200, gas 240, alumni tailgate $75, other food $100) for me and the wife..  Ramada works for me, hell we will still have to pay for ucf and fiu roadies!  These 9 game (yes we can't make 3 this season) seasons can be costly!

Amended!  We too will be with Bullman at Embassy Suites.. Can't risk with wife's asthma.. Embassy has always been good to us.. I have read a few reviews of ramada, mostly good reviews with a few bad comments related to smokers.. They are smoke free now however can't risk it..

How far is the drive?

Can I get a ride someone?

I think the Bulls Backer New Alumni road trip this year is going to be the NC State game. That's always an option! Anwar's initial email got lost in the shuffle but a reply all caught my eye. I'm hoping to go if my job/money situation is figured out at that point.

Me, too.  The wife and I are really looking to do the New Alumni bus trip if our money situation falls into place.

T-Man, good choice.  We will probably take a cab to and from the embassy.  5 minute cab ride should only cost $10-15 max.

TMan, you might also want to consider the Comfort Suites.  It is 100% smoke free and fairly new.  I was in the raleigh area last month and saw the hotel.  It is almost across the street from the stadium  The hotel's site says 0.3 miles to Carter Finely Stadium.  Rates vary from $99 (state gov't rate-which teachers, cops and similar jobs qualify) to the standard rate of $143.  We are sticking with the embassy, just because the people I am going with prefer it, but if I was traveling with a different group of people, I would consider the comfort suites.

Thanks - but I too will stick with embassy.  When you throw in the drinks and free breakfast it kind of makes up some of the difference.  Plus the one out of state road trip needs to be done in style.

I had a friend who used to say "Blonde isn't a hair color, it's an attitude/state of mind/state of being."  (She varied it depending on her mood) :)

Still, JB, we'd love to have you, BigEastBeasts, Shoop, and the whole crew join the Bull Backers, too ...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
