Some of the comments by the delusional UCiFers are pretty funny.  They take what Bianchi writes as the truth when there's not any fact in the entire article.

Of course when Bianchi was reporting on the whole controversy with Erick Plancher, they were all screaming "LIES!" and ready to boycott the Sentinel.

I don't know why they're acting so surprised. Did they expect us to be lobbying FOR them? Would they do any differently if the roles were reversed?  How is it good for us to have them in the Big East diluting our recruiting? For an extra 15k for 1 out of 6 home games? PUH-LEEZ.

Besides, USF is only 1 vote. All they need is 6 votes from the football members and theres not a **** thing USF can do about it. But who else is gonna vote for UCF? Louisville just got a coach with Florida roots and over half of their 2011 commits are from Florida. West Virginia has 5 recruits from FL and their roster is already littered with FL players. Same with Rutgers.

Sorry UCF, as much as you wanna tout your school size and facilities and on campus stadium....all that takes a back seat to politics.

To quote Michael Corleone: "It's not personal. It's strictly business."

Nicely put ... and it's an extra 15k for 1 out of 12 home games ...

Honestly we are waiting on Nova to make their decision before UCF will even be considered.  There is no blocking going on right now because UCF is not even an option unless Nova declines and then the BE will evaluate the C-USA programs and the debate will begin on who should be given that offer.  They are dead set on making us out to be the bad guy but WVU has a bone to pick with them too from them screwing them over by bailing on a game not that long ago as well.  Not to mention that Houston brings everything they do and a bigger TV market.  UCF is not a no brainer even among CUSA schools anyone that is trying to present that they are i just stirring the pot or a blind homer.  Some will use the "right institution" quote by the commish to insinuate that UCF is that school but if they were they would have already been extended that invitation as we know any of the C-USA schools would jump at the opportunity to become a BE member.  More than likely that comment is directed at the pipe dream that is Notre Dame or possibly some of the unhappy big 12 schools.  As much as some hate to hear it UCF is not an option at this moment and will not become one until Nova declines, which i don't see them doing based on their recent land acquisitions....

Wow.  Where to start...

Bianchi starts off with a hypothesis and continues with the assumption this is true.  He calls Genshaft's office and when-- surprise, surprise-- gets no official response from Genshaft, insists that that is PROOF that Genshaft is blackballing UCF.  Just because our school president doesn't come out and campaign for our "sister program" that must mean she is secretly campaigning against them.  Case closed.  No questions asked.

Bianchi then suggests we chickened out of continuing the UCF-USF series and went to "play the likes of Wofford and Stony Brook."  Wrong buddy.  We went on to playing the likes of Miami and FSU.  He got one thing right: playing UCF IS beneath our football program.

He also cites that Rick Pitino and our football coach spoke publicly about UCF joining the conference.  Two things: one, Rick Pitino is a basketball coach and I don't give two violation about what he thinks when it comes to adding a football program; and two, when the hell did Skip Holtz express his support for UCF joining the conference?

For a school that loves to rip the Big East conference as being an inferior BCS conference, they sure do have a fetish for our conference.  This article has no fact and is pure speculation, but UCF fans will take Bianchi as gospel (as they always do) and will be sure to get roused up over this.

Why did the Sentinel even print this garbage?

Great idea.  Governor Scott should also force UF to push for us to get into the SEC.  Although pushing FSU to get us into the ACC would be acceptable as well.

Judy gets paid to do what's best for USF, not UCiF. If she believes that having them in the BE hurts USF, then she better do whatever it takes to make sure they don't get in. I have no problem playing them every year (after the UM series?).

However, I hope Villanova accepts and that's the end. I do not want them in - I see more cons than pros.
