  1. Unfortunately it's exactly how I imagined it would be. They put these "huge" screens in and fill a third of them with ads. The actual video portion was probably only about double the size it used to be (it pretty much doubled in height). I've been saying since they announced what they were doing that they were cheaping out on the whole thing. Comparing to some of the boards that have been put in at other recently remodeled stadiums the boards are small. They keep touting the total screen area in the stadium but it's broken up all over the place, in the corners, ribbons, boards at both ends. If they did it right they should've filled the space in the endzones or at least come close to it.
  2. Look how much time is left in the quarter too!
  3. Here's some pics I took today at the stadium. The new boards look sweet!! FYI... those are speakers hanging under the lights!
  4. Here's a sneak peak at this year's Bulls FB season tix!
  5. Guys, come on... Seriously??? This isn't even the off-season either.
  6. Haha, this must have been taken during a USF game with all those empty seats.
  7. I just noticed that the latest Google Maps satellite view of Ray J shows the field set up for a Bulls game! https://www.google.com/maps/dir///@27.9755459,-82.5037275,368m/data=!3m1!1e3
  8. So we went to the HCC lot around 2:30. We were there for about 10 minutes and started to get set up and got kicked out by a guy saying that the lot doesn't open until 4 and we had to leave. We ended up at a private grass lot at someone's house. Still looking for a good private lot that is preferably paved.
  9. Is HCC open and does anyone have any experience parking there?
  10. Yeah we've been tailgating in that lot for the past 15 years or so. This really sucks. And the fact that I'm finding out about it the night before our tailgate.
  11. We just got word that Lot 14 (old Mall lot for those of you that have been around a long time) is closed for USF games now. We really liked that lot because our group could come at any time and all park together and we could spread out and pretty much take up as much space as we wanted. Anyone have any other options for lots like that wher we don't have to all line up as we come in to be able to park with each other? One where we're not restricted to 10 square feet behind our parking space?
  12. Here's a sneak peek. Nothing too exciting. Nothing drawn by a 5 year old either though I guess...
  13. I thought it sounded lame. It's one thing to mic them and it's another to just play a prerecorded track of the band playing with fans cheering in the background.
  14. Not sure if it's been posted before because the video is from 2011 but pretty cool.
  15. So is this only for people who paid the full payment in one lump sum and not the ones who paid on a payment plan split over several months?
  16. They didn't come in the mail. Probably another week or so before they show up in the mailbox.
  17. It appears that Baylor thought that they could just show up and walk away with a W. Hopefully the 4th quarter they've figured out now that they actually have to put some effort into it.
  18. Which is my point, and the point of the turd comment. A win does nothing to the credibility of the conference. I remember the Big East getting big bowl wins year after year and it never improved the perception of the conference. The media machine will not allow it, so we need our own media machine. Who got those wins and what conference are they in now? I don't understand how West Virginia and Louisville winning BCS games and then leaving the Big East backs up your argument that UCF winning would be a positive for the conference. Also, those bowl game wins had zero (or very, very, very close to zero) to do with those teams getting invited to better conferences. Exactly. The teams that have left didn't leave because they won one bowl game. They left because of many different factors that made them attractive to the conferences that stole them away.
  19. Which is my point, and the point of the turd comment. A win does nothing to the credibility of the conference.
  20. It doesn't matter how much UCF beats Baylor by, it's not going to do anything to improve the perception of the conference. This conference is a turd. No mater how much you polish a turd, it's still a turd. That being said, they're going to get creamed.
  21. So in other words the increase in business the hotels get from events at the stadium will go back into improving the stadium.
