  1. You should go with the Verizon FIOS, if you have it available in your neighborhood! You DO get ESPNU, more HD channels, and it's a lot cheaper! Not to mention triple the internet bandwidth for the same price as Darkhouse! It's a no-brainer.
  2. They determined years ago when OCS talks began that there is not enough room on (our current) campus for a stadium. At that time they were discussing the purchasing of land off of Fowler of Fletcher for a stadium. My guess is that by now the land has been purchased and they're just holding on to it till the ground breaking time comes. (All of this was talk as of probably 2/3 years ago and I haven't been updated since then)
  3. "I believe the Big East proving it is a leage ahead of the Conference USA" I like that one!
  4. Man 38-0! How empty is the stadium going to be for the second half?
  5. This is kinda comical! At this pace the score will be 105-0 at the end of the game!
  6. Hopefully it'll be in HD also! I am not getting my hopes up though It really sucked seeing the Louisville/K State game in HD and then ours was standard.
  7. I guess the Verizon FIOS in Tampa hasn't updated their schedule yet for Sat.
  8. So it says the USF game is on in the interactive guide on brighthouse? Yeah I doubt it would be different on different providers too.
  9. Is the game going to be on FSN?  Several articles I've read and several online TV listings say the game is on FSN.  I have Verizon FIOS TV and the interactive TV guide is showing the Florida Marlins game for Sat Sept. 23 at 7:00 PM on both channel 66 (FSN) and 816 (FSN HD).  Anyone else with FIOS showing what I show?  How about Brighthouse?  I am really hoping it is in HD...that'll be awesome!!
  10. Yeah you beat me to it. It wasn't entirely his fault. I am not making excuses for him because the ball was still playable. That was a horrible snap. As soon as I saw the ball coming back and saw how low it was I said "Oh NO", and then it happened. I'll agree though, I haven't been too impressed with our kicking so far this year.
  11. Hey can you post via ftp or something the poster that says it's all about THIS U. I want it as large as you can. I have a printer that prints on 36" wide rolls. So I want it huge. I have photoshop so I can format it to the exact size. The only thing is it's in black and white but being that big it's still going to be noticed!
  12. Does anyone have any good ideas for a sign that incorporates ABC. Since the game will be shown on ABC. Is it just shown in Tampa on ABC or nationally?
  13. I work at an engineering firm and we have printers that print pages as wide as 36" here. I could print it out here. Shhh, don't tell the boss though! :-X Email it to me at usfishin@hotmail.com and I'll see how it looks.
  14. My group is staying at the Holiday Inn Coral Gables. Got it on Priceline for $65 per room per night including all taxes and fees etc. It's a 3 star so it's gotta be pretty good.
  15. I am starting a new post for those of us going to Miami concerning the parking and tailgating.  Where is everyone planning on parking and tailgating?  I have a group of 10 and we're not sure what we're gonna do yet.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Is there one main tailgate that most USF fans are going to or is everyone planning their own.  I do know about the Alumni catered tailgate for $35.  Any others?
  16. This is from the site: The website AllCoachesCare.com has been created to provide more information on to give coaches a place where they can make their contribution to the online auction, which will be run by SnappyAuctions.com. “This is something that all coaches, male and female at every level must get involved with,†says Virginia Tech men’s basketball coach Seth Greenberg who is heading up the effort among coaches. “As coaches we always talk about the team concept. If we are going to make any impact on the hurricane relief efforts, we need to come together as a team to assist all those who desperately need our help.†Greenberg is the organizing chairman of the committee, which is made up primarily of college coaches, but the Virginia Tech coach is stressing that all coaches need to be involved. “I can’t stress that point enough. Everyone should be involved. As coaches we are always rebuilding our own programs. “Coaches Care†was created to help and now we have an opportunity to help rebuild the Gulf Coast of the United States working with the great folks at Habitat for Humanity.†Others on the committee include John Brady (Louisiana State University), Brian Cleary (University of Cincinnati), Joe Dwyer (AllCoachNetwork.com), Orlando Early (University of Louisiana-Monroe), Tim Floyd (USC), Frank Haith (University of Miami), Angela Lento (AllCoachNetwork.com), Rick Stansbury (Mississippi State University), John Thompson III (Georgetown University) and Willis Wilson (Rice University). The organizing committee has already confirmed participation from many high profile coaches, including Frank Beamer (Virginia Tech), Tom Izzo (Michigan State), Mike Krzyzewski (Duke), Lute Olson (Arizona) and Texas Tech head coach Bob Knight. “America has the greatest reputation in the world for helping others whenever and wherever disaster strikes,†says Knight. “Now, more than ever, it’s important for us to contribute to those who are in need. Your assistance is really beneficial and will be greatly welcomed and appreciated.†Knight has donated a Big 12 tournament Experience to the online auction. This package will include transportation and lodging (team hotel) when they travel to Dallas for the 2006 Big 12 tournament (March 9-12). This package will include hotel room (team hotel) for 2 and 2 tickets to the Phillips Big 12 tournament (seat location TBD). The goal of the organizers is to raise money through an online auction and cash donations. AllCoachNetwork.com will administer the auction in conjunction with Snappy Auctions eBay Drop-Off Stores. SnappyAuctions.com will handle all of the listing and shipping of items for the auction, which will begin on Sept. 14 on eBay. “We are so pleased to have the opportunity to help raise money for the eventual reconstruction of New Orleans and the entire Gulf coast though Habitat for Humanity,†says Debbie Gordon President/CEO of Snappy Auctions. “Snappy Auctions’ online presence on eBay, combined with the efforts of the coaches and AllCoachNetwork.com, will provide people another way to contribute to this unprecedented initiative.†Coaches can make their contribution to the online auction by going to www.allcoachescare.com and clicking on “Submit Your Item.†This website will also act as information source for all things related to the effort. All money raised through the auction will go directly to Habitat for Humanity, which will be administered by MissionFish.org, the official non-profit liaison for eBay. Coaches interested in making a monetary donations can make checks payable to “Coaches Care / Habitat for Humanity.†Checks should be sent to: AllCoachNetwork.com 129 Cottage Street Norwood, MA 02062 Attn: Coaches Care Sometime in late September, AllCoachNetwork.com will announce the total amount raised through “Coaches Care†to benefit Habitat for Humanity. “There are no words to describe what has happened in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi,†says Angela Lento who is the co-founder of AllCoachNetwork.com. “As Americans we are always the first to help those around the world in need. Now it’s time to help our own. It’s important to understand that everyone can help to make a difference and that every little bit counts. It is great to see the coaching community doing its’ part, but it’s important that everyone continues to help.â€Â
  17. I just saw Seth on the news this morning. Well he was on the phone actually and they had his pic up. He's promoting a site called www.AllCoachesCare.com I am not sure if he's the one who started it or if he's just helping promote it. It kinda sounded like he started it, but anyways. It's going to be a huge auction where players/coaches from all sports donate autographed jerseys, balls, etc. Also, they'll have trips to bowl games, trips to travel to a game with a team, and pretty much anything you can imagine. Just wanted to let you all know in case you were wondering what he's been up to lately. Pretty cool.
  18. I have 4 club level tickets available for the USF/UCF game.  Section 238, Row W, Seats 3-6.  The price is $29 per ticket.  If you are, or if you know someone, who is interested email me at: USFishin@hotmail.com
