Jesus... There goes that... Gave us a glimmer of hope there until that TD...

Clemson is losing to South Carolina though, so we'll move past them... Not that that really means a ton...

I'm thinking that even a close loss by Syracuse should help our bowl cause.  A win by the Orange would be nice, though.

Conference rankings are not deciding factors in bowls unless you win the conference.

Exactly. We deserve to be ranked much higher because our out-of-conference schedule was much harder. We had Auburn, UCF (who happens to be the CUSA champs and a 9-win team), and Elon (also turned out to be a good I-AA to pick b/c of their win-loss record). Cincy had Oregon State with an otherwise pathetic OOC schedule. In addition, our losses were all to quality teams who will end the season with 8 or 9 wins, whereas they lost to Pitt and L'Ville.

Put it in terms he can understand: Its like being happy that Oregon loses to UCLA so that USC can win Pac10 eventhough they lost to the Ducks
