I don't care about the cannons...it doesn't matter to me.  No offense intended.

I will say, however, any illusion to create the effect that RJS is actually an OCS is silly. I went to the game Saturday, and quite frankly, I'd rather see the Bucs logo midfield than our logo in a surrender flag..  As a bright man once said (I know you'll all claim to have said it): "It is what it is".

Now, I know that USF will be painted midfield Friday, but that is a FIRST.  It is not going to happen from here on out, likely not again this year (I don't know, who has the Bucs' schedule?).

Let's just realize where we are and what it takes to get to where we want to be.

I agree 100%.  The white flag is an insult, not a good thing.  I also don't think RJS will ever look like an OCS, or am I gunning for it.  This wasn't an OCS when I posted it...

It's just nice seeing more USF logos... thats all guys...

I agree and I am sure many others do.

Just not inside that surrender flag, please!

I would be completly shocked if we could put up a USF flag on the ship...that would be bad-ass...but other than that and the field logos, nothin bothers me...all you need is the fans to make it USF's stadium.

We did "own it" on that 3rd down play where the Heels got the yips.

We pay $100k per game, $10k more EACH year.

they can definitely work to accommodate a bit more.

Why should they? Frankly I'm amazed they even are letting us paint this coming weekend. They have zero incentive to accommodate us at all -- it's not like we have anywhere to go.

Before this turns to an OCS thread, keep in mind 100k a game is nothing to a man that Hillsborough County made a billionaire years ago.  While one would like to say the Glazers are USF's daddy, it's important to note that the Glazers own and operate (although not officially) the Hillsborough County Sports Authority.

I was so pissed off when I heard that sideline reporter say we have no home field advantage.  Not only did the crowd help immensely with the goal line stand, it was only UNC at noon!  It was not a big game!  I have been to FSU and UF games (actually only 1 UF game against Miami) and we are no worse than them.  FSU is very complacent because they expect to win.  Granted, this was a few years ago.

When we have the entire stadium full and we are playing WVU at night, there will be NO problem with our home field advantage.  The fans make it feel like a home field.  I could care less about anything else for now.  The painted field is cool, but it's just decoration.  We'll be heard loud and clear at 8pm Friday.

We all want an OCS, MAB..relax a bit, eh?

I suppose I could say the same to you, huh?

No, because  while I am an advocate of an OCS, I don't make that a point at every opportunity and non-opportunity.

Relax a bit and let the other side of the debate pitch in their two cents.

Part of me say the other side is "you, MAB" and the other part says "accept him, he is a brother."  After all, I'm with you.  It's not your position I disagree with, it's your plan of attack.

I make a very balanced post saying it's fine if this stuff doesn't matter to some people, but to just understand it does to others.

And to the spirit of accepting the other side's opinion, they may be tired of it.

You're going to ask me to "relax" after a very chilled post like that?

Sure, I appreciate your drive, and I just wish it were focused properly.

::) ::) ::) ::)

Nice job.

Indeed.

Pretty weak effort there, Bulliever.

You justified nothing in that post.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
