yes.  fed-ex is based in memphis.  i think one of the arenas there have their name.

but memphis sux at football.  Bottom of CUSA last time I checked.  And their Womens Bball is pretty craptacular too...  I think the only team memphis puts money into is the Mens Hoops Team.  The rest of the schools teams are losers.  In addition...marshall and ucf JUST moved to CUSA.  I dont think they are about to Bail that fast...(I could be wrong)

I say Memphis... not because I don't like UCF, but because I see Memphis as a better fit.

I see their football program getting better and their BBall program is great (as we all know).

We want the best of the best of CUSA if that's the conference that we want to look at.  That will be Memphis, folks.

Memphis? Is the Big East really going to take Memphis' 47th ranked TV market for the 19th in Orlando because their football team won a few more games?

I doubt it, I don't think Memphis' football program is so much more recognized or better than UCF's that it's gonna win them over. And if expansion happens, it will be because basketball was TOO strong and broke apart. I don't forsee Cuse, UConn being too thrilled about bringing another basketball school in.

Objectively, UCF will probably be choice A because of the TV market, facilities, and student body size.

That being said,  expansion isn't happening for a very long time, if ever.

Recognition? Ya. That was really the leading factor when they chose USF over Marshall/Memphis originally.

Honestly, ask our cocnference brethern they'll say UCF. Guarentee it.

That was back then where the BE needed 5 schools (3 for football).  If we were to select ONE school now... name recognition = Memphis > UCF.

I've been on other boards that have mix opinions including the one that I have mentioned.
