Here are the numbers and the amounts that go to Athletics

School- FEE- Athletic FEE

UCF- 34.25- 11.09

USF- 29.26- 10.16

FAU-28.75-13.75

FSU-28.08-5.98

UF-24.73-1.90

FIU-22.18-9.66

FAMU-19.40-8.90

Missing a few schools in that list, there are 11 state universities in Florida.

PS. In many construction projects, cost of site preparation can eat up to 25-30% cost of the entire project...fortunately for UCF's sake...Brighthouse Stadium is being built where the former practice fields use to be located...so very lil prep and wasted $$$$ were needed.

It may not have been part of the up front budget to build the stadium, but UCF still in effect paid for the prep when the practice fields were first built. You still paid for that, just not in front of your eyes.

Good point, Wooly.  As the number of posters on this site has increased, the level of realistic expectations has decreased.  So, I guess that there's an inverse relationship between the number of fans USF has and how realistic their expectations are.

I guess. Those were budgeted and paid for over 4 years ago.

Why waste time/energy/money on this. I still think we should approach Busch Gardens to build/fund a stadium across the street.
