Rich Rod turned them down and there are very few offers. Does bama try to throw big $$$$ at Leavitt? What are the other options for them?

I am not saying this will happen, but it is very possible that Coach gets a call soon.

Yeah, of course they will, especially after the embarrassment they just went through.  They were turned down by a coach that was "interested" imagine being turned down by one that already turned them down a few years ago.

I really hope they do.  It only gives USF Football more visibility.  I doubt they do, for the reasons mentioned above.  I think I read someone on this board (likely UCF fan) talking about how the BE will become the training ground for coaches in the other 5 BCS conferences... looks like that theory got shot down!

I doubt they would because he was pretty quick to dismiss any notion that he would go anywhere else. As opposed to RR, who entertained the thought and used it as leverage to get a better deal at West Virginia

I think they are going after Mike Stoops, Paul Johnson, and Steve Kragthorpe after CJL said he wasn'tinterested in any job a few weeks ago.

Nope.  CJL has said too many times that he is not interested.

Only if they are willing to pay him more than they offered RR.  You guys don't seem to understand that every coach will say they aren't interested until enough money is put on the table.

Not true.

Also Bama cannot risk another PR embarrassment.  Leavitt's turned them down once, and was very public about his desire to stay.  Pursuing would be risking another RR incident which they can ill-afford at this point.

The way they things have been lately, their best shot would be to promote Kines.

It's just not that attractive of a job this year ... as was UM.
