Are you kidding me the back-yard paper is the one that started all this mess. The McMurphy resume article has been quoted by three other papers and some radio guys.... If you can't beat him, then get him a better gig seems to be the Trib's new motto. Oh, btw, who was the jacka** on this board that said some of us should apologize to Brett because his 6-6 prediction looked accurate?  That Jackass was me..... What a stupid post that was  :-[ Thanks for stepping up. I really didn't remember who, and we all make mistakes. I more than anyone! That's a good one to make though, because being on the wrong end just makes you feel that much better about being wrong!

Dunno if he'll accept, but the offer has been made. How many more sports will they have to get rid of to pay that contract off? good question. did they get rid of others already? 2 mil a year is a lot. good offer from rutgers, they are trying to keep their program that may completely hinge on schiano staying. isn't it interesting that all 5 top programs in the big east (not you, pitt) are receiving interest for coaching jobs, and that cincy's coach already took one? the big east is looking mighty strong. I wonder what would happen if they all left except for leavitt, heh.

If Louisville miraculously gets picked ahead of LSU for a BCS game (if Rutgers beats WVU), it's possible Alabama wouldn't even have a game to prepare for. They need this recruiting time.
