Do we have any shot at either Greg Williams (Florida is his favorite, USF low) or Troy Pollard (Illinios and South Carolina favorites, USF medium)?

sounds like USF has decided to go in another direction than Greg Williams (hence the "low" rank).

Check out Greg's blog for a nice piece on a "project" type running back we just got a committment from.  Rickey Anderson from Cape Coral.  I would expect at least one more RB to sign this year.  No idea who, though.

Personally I see Ricky Anderson more as a LB or SS project for our staff.  My guess is there is another RB out there that will be added to our class before signing day.

Not Williams, and probably not Pollard.

who else is out there at RB that the staff may still be persuing??

I think some of these guys are looking "beyond" USF and the coaches have (rightfully) decided not to waste their time on them (see Harris, possibly williams).

This year I feel that if our coaching staff is still on them, then we probably have a chance at landing.

I have been disappointed in Ponton so far this season ... just the one good game against UNC. Although he has not been geting the touches  :-/

We still have Plancher, Samuels & Dorsey = potential. I feel good about them.

Still expect to sign 2 RB's.

How is Plancher's rehab coming?  That may be a two year injury.

This one time we really need that 5/4 star running back who can come in and make an impact.  No disrespect to our current RBs but our offense needs a playmaker at RB.

During the Syracuse game it was clear as day to me.  We are one excellent running back away from having a very potent offense.  Provided Grothe stays healthy.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
