No Bowl This Season

7-5 will get us to a bowl game.  Can we get there?  Absolutely.  Can we beat any team left on the schedule?  Absolutely.  Cincinnati is tough, the team came out flat and the offensive coordinator really screwed the pooch in play calling.  Fix those mistakes and this team will look pretty darn good.  

I still see every game from here out as winnable.  UL and WVa are tough, but they're not supermen.  Pitt got clobbered at home by Rutgers.  Syracuse isn't a punching bag anymore, but if we let them beat us in RayJay, we need to quit playing D-1 football altogether.

So far, here is what we've accomplished on the road.  

Won at UCF.  Maybe our best win of the year (no kidding here).

Lost at Kansas.  7 points in 60 minutes of football.

Won at UNC.  We looked great on offense, but UNC has only beaten Furman.

Lost at Cincy.  6 points in 60 minutes of football

Coming up on the road:

at Louisville.  Team looking for revenge from last year's spanking.

at WVU.  Great rushing offense, and the toughest environment we'll play in all year.

I"m not sure what we do differently away from home, but we are a bad road team hhistorically.  Please someone prove me wrong on this.

Unless the fact that Pitt is day 2 of my bachelor party gets us a win and unless the fact that Cuse is on my wedding day gets us a win ( Yes, the future Mrs. Kdawgy is a Bull also ), getting us to 7-5  - there will be no chance of bowling this year.

Only 4 of the teams we play this year have ABOVE .500 records... and 3 of those 4 we haven't played yet. we can't beat anyone of worth if we aren't playing anyone of worth.

About half of the people attending are wondering  if we could move the ceremony from Sanibel to Tampa for the game.  I offered to get married at the game, she said no.

Too much football left to be played to think we're not going to a bowl game. The great thing about this game is that we can totally bounce back and win the next game regardless of who we play.
