Do you mean it's interesting b/c we all thought that Peoples would be a middle linebacker?

I think the staff just wants Peoples to get some experience. Mompremier is the heir apparent to Moffitt.

Good timing, ET. I was actually gonna ask about the LBs BEHIND "the big 3" today.

Who are they?

How much of a step down or step up, in talent, are they?

How long is it gonna take for them to get comfortable once 51, 54, and 59 are gone?

good questions, look forward to their answers.  at least moffitt will be back next year to ease the transition of the other 2 leaving.

Good catch, ET. They had been listing freshman walk-on Houston Hess in that spot, but I don't remember him playing linebacker in a game, just on special teams. I'd think you can pencil in Moffitt, Mompremier and Peoples as starters going into spring ball, though the redshirting freshmen will have a chance if they can pick up the defensive reads. ...

What are Sabbath Joseph's chances of playing next year? I remember how big of a signee he was this past recruiting season.

its very rare for a freshman...even redshirt freshman to see time at LB in our scheme.  a lot of reads need to be known.  hopefully he picks it up quick because he would be one of the best we have had when he is all done.
